After searching and finding the cat’s urine, if the stain is still wet, clean it with paper towels. After applying vinegar on the spot, let it act for a few minutes. Vinegar has bactericidal and fungicidal power and neutralizes odors. Do not worry about the smell of vinegar because it will disappear. The most important thing is to get that it doesn’t smell like cat urine that is much worse.

If the stain is already dry, first remove it with a cleaning sponge, mild detergent and some water. The detergent foam helps loosen dry urine. Rub well to remove everything. If it still smells after rubbing and rinsing with water and a clean cloth, apply vinegar and let it act for a few minutes.

2. Sofa or mattress

The sofa and the mattress are the most delicate surfaces with the smell of pee because if you absorb it too much, you may not have salvation. In this case, the first and most important advice is not to rub. If it is still wet, first grab a few paper towels and press the stain without rubbing. Do this until the last sheet of paper is dry. If the stain is already dry, put a little cold water on it to get it wet again and perform the procedure with paper towels.

After removing excess urine, the best solution is to buy an aggressive detergent that is aggressive and very strong. Read the package instructions to find out what types of fabric you can apply and how to proceed.

3. With homemade mix

If you can’t find the special detergent to eliminate the smell of cat pee, make your own at home. You will need white vinegar, baking soda, 10 volume hydrogen peroxide and neutral detergent to clean the dishes.

The first step is to mix two parts of water with one part of vinegar. Pass this mixture over the urine stain after removing the excess with paper towels. Leave the mixture for 5 minutes on the stain. Clean the excess with more paper.

Next, sprinkle the baking soda, as it will help absorb the liquid that is embedded in the fibers of the tissues, be it the sofa, the clothes, the carpet, the mattress, the cushion or the car seat.

While you let the baking soda work, mix a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide with a dishwashing detergent, apply on the baking soda that will already be in action and rub it with a cleaning sponge, being careful not to damage the cloth. Again, use paper towels to absorb excess liquid.

When everything is dry, end up vacuuming to remove the remaining sodium bicarbonate powder. If the surface hardens, add a little warm water to soften it, very little, and let it dry on its own.
