Learn about some choices of detergent recipes to follow and make them in a larger amount to last much longer.

Homemade baking detergent recipes

If you want to make a more elaborate recipe with exact amounts of ingredients to have a product very similar to the one sold in the supermarket, you can learn a neutral detergent recipe.

For simpler versions, you look at the following options. What they all have in common is the use of sodium bicarbonate, an ingredient that helps clean, remove stains and neutralize odors.

1. Simple recipe

This homemade detergent with bicarbonate barely carries 4 ingredients in total, and the procedure is simple.

Ingredients

Baking soda: 1 tablespoon;

Coconut soap: 200 grams;

Boiling water: 2 liters;

White vinegar: ½ glass.

Preparation Mode:

  1. Wash the coconut soap and place it in a bowl. Then add the baking soda.
  2. Gradually add the boiled water and stir until the soap dissolves and a creamy liquid remains.
  3. Place the vinegar at the end and slowly stir until it is creamy again. When it is cold, store it in bottles for daily use.

2. Laundry detergent

The above recipe is ideal for dishes and utensils, while it is used to wash clothes.

Ingredients

Baking soda: 3 tablespoons;

Coconut soap: 200 grams;

Water: 3 liters;

Essential aroma oil that you like best:  5 to 10 drops.

Preparation Mode:

  1. Grate the coconut soap and put it in a bowl or in a pan. Add a liter of hot water and stir to dissolve the soap.
  2. Next, put the baking soda, mix well and let stand for 1 hour.
  3. After a while, add another liter of warm water and mix. It passes through a sieve.
  4. Finally, place the drops of the chosen oil and the other liter of water, this time cold. Mix everything well for a few minutes and the soap will be ready to be used.

3. Homemade detergent with bicarbonate and borax

Borax is added to this recipe because it offers an antiseptic and antifungal action, which makes the detergent more powerful for cleaning dishes and surfaces.

Baking soda: 2 cups;

Borax powder: 2 cups;

Water: 8 liters;

Lavender essence:  10 milliliters.

  2. Next, place the baking soda and borax and mix again. Add the other 7 liters of water, without heating, and the essence of lavender. Mix very well.
  3. Once it is cold, you can store it in bottles for use.
