The Fumaria is a herbaceous plant of European origin also known by the names of: smoke-the-ground, grass-fontanelle, herb-dove and gall of the earth. Since the Middle Ages, herbalists have described the plant as very useful for natural medicine, such as treating eczema, constipation problems, dermatological conditions and others. In Turkish folk medicine, tobaccoIt is used as a blood purifier and is a component of extracts that treat allergies. Its active ingredients are fumaric acid, protopine and alkaloids. What is Tobacco:

The Fumaria is a medicinal plant that grows in small bushes, leaves and has white or pink flowers with red tip and its leaves are gray-green.

The Fumaria  is also known as grass-fontanelle, herb dove-smoke-and-the earth. Its scientific name is Fumaária officinalis. It can be purchased at health food stores and some handling pharmacies .


This plant has purifying, diuretic, laxative, anti-inflammatory properties as well as biliary secretion regulator and skin regenerator.


This plant is used to help treat gallstones, constipation , intestinal cramps, hives, scabies and psoriasis.

Mode of use:

The used parts of this plantation are: stem, leaves and flowers.

Tea: Add one teaspoon of chopped dry Fumeria to 1 cup of boiling water. Let stand for 10 minutes. Then strain, sweeten with honey and take 1 to 3 cups a day.

Side effects:

The maximum daily intake of this plant should be 3 cups of tea as overuse can cause vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain.


This plant is contraindicated for pregnant women, women who are breastfeeding and individuals with stomach problems.
