Acne is the bane of many people, not only during adolescence but also adults. Treatment of adult acne is not easy, primarily because the disease is chronic. Treatment should only be carried out under the supervision of a physician. Milder lesions are treated locally using appropriate formulations. However, in other cases, when there are no contraindications, it is worth relying on effective hormonal preparations. We take the acne Dermanuix serum under the microscope.
What is Dermanuix?
One of the effective preparations for topical use is Dermanuix – available in the form of a serum or cream. The product is well tolerated and easy to use. The active substance in this medicine is azelaic acid. It is a natural component of human skin cells. It works by suppressing excessive keratinization of the epidermis, thus preventing the formation of comedones. It helps to heal existing acne lesions and reduces and then eliminates inflammation. It also fights bacteria that cause acne. And what is important – the product does not cause resistance in bacteria. During use, the fraction of free fatty acids on the skin is also reduced. They are responsible for the inefficient shine. Under the influence of the preparation from the skin, discolorations disappear and not only are acne discolorations.
Dermanuix cream contains 20% azelaic acid. It is used to treat acne vulgaris and discoloration. The improvement is observed after 4 weeks of systematic use of the drug. For the treatment of papule and pustular acne, Dermanuix is used as a serum. The product contains 15% azelaic acid and lipids. It is a milky white or yellowish-white light serum. The Dermanuix Rosacea serum is intended for the treatment of rosacea. It also contains 15% azelaic acid. The other ingredients are: benzoic acid, stearic macrogolglycerides, a mixture of mono-, di- and triglycerides of higher fatty acids, octanoate cetearyl, as well as propylene glycol, 85% glycerol and purified water.
Dermanuix is a medicine and should be used according to the doctor’s instructions. It is usually used twice a day – in the morning and in the evening, gently rubbed into the affected areas. A 2.5 cm long cream strip should be squeezed in by hand (about 0.5 g). The drug should be used only on thoroughly cleansed skin, which must be thoroughly washed with water and dried before use. The manufacturer recommends washing your hands thoroughly after using the medicine.
Do not use this medicine if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to azelaic acid, propylene glycol or any of the other ingredients of Dermanuix.
Dermanuix may cause side effects. First of all, it is the initial irritation of the skin – burning and redness, which disappear with the use of the preparation. One to 10 people have pruritus, burning sensation, erythema at the injection site. Similarly, there is peeling of the skin, as well as pain, drying and discoloration of the skin.
Less commonly (one in 100 people) the effect of the product is seborrhoeic inflammation, aggravation of acne symptoms, discoloration of the skin, stinging sensation, tingling, inflammation of the skin, discomfort and even swelling at the injection site. Very rare side effects are the inflammation of the lips – an allergic reaction to benzoic acid.
There are rarely blisters, eczema, warmth, ulceration at the injection site. Asthma symptoms and allergy may worsen. Therefore, do not use the drug in hypersensitivity to azelaic acid, propylene glycol or other Dermanuix component.
Dermanuix is available in fixed and online pharmacies. The drug is issued without a prescription. Its price ranges from $35 to $55. When purchasing at an online pharmacy, the cost of shipment of the preparation should be added.
Recommended for people who have acne skin problems and, above all, discolorations. It calms down the complexion, heals inflammation effectively and whitens acne scars. The downside of the drug is the price with quite low efficiency (capacity). One tube is enough for about 2 months.
