Brain Tumor – What It Is, Causes, Symptoms and Treatments

Brain Tumor – What It Is, Causes, Symptoms and Treatments We Must Know. Also, no one knows what causes  Brain Tumor ; There are only a few known risk factors that have been established by the research.

Children who receive radiation to the head have a higher risk of developing a brain tumor as adults, as well as people who have certain rare genetic conditions, such as neurofibromatosis or Li-Fraumeni syndrome.

But these cases represent a fraction of the approximately 28,000 new primary brain tumors diagnosed each year in the United States.

Age is also a risk factor. People aged 65 to 79 make up the population most likely to be diagnosed with a brain tumor .

Causes of Brain Tumor:

The cerebral tumor originates from own  brain or nearby tissues such as the brain membrane covering (meninges), cranial nerves, pituitary or pineal gland . Primary brain tumors begin when normal cells acquire errors (mutations) in their DNA.

These mutations allow cells to grow and divide at increased rates and continue to live when healthy cells die. The result is a mass of abnormal cells that forms a tumor .

Brain Tumor Symptoms:

For many people with cerebral tumor were diagnosed when they went to the doctor after undergoing a problem such as pain head or other changes.

General symptoms include:

Pains head , which may be severe and worsen with activity or in the early morning

Seizures. Motor seizures, also called seizures, are sudden and involuntary movements of a person’s muscles.

People may experience different types of seizures.

Brain Tumor Treatments:

Surgery to remove the tumor is typically the first option once a brain tumor has been diagnosed. However, some tumors cannot be surgically removed due to their location in the brain . In such cases, chemotherapy and radiotherapy may be options for killing and shrinking the tumor.

Sometimes chemotherapy or radiation is also used after surgery to kill any remaining cancer cells. Tumors that are deep in the brain or in hard-to-reach areas can be treated with Gamma Knife therapy, which is a highly focused form of radiation therapy.
